Distinction between physical Anthropology and Cultural Anthropology

I find it interesting that the article states in the first paragraph that a modern day scientist does not work on both physical Anthropology and Cultural Anthropology at the same time. Yet they still are not cut off from each other and they even cooperate in important work. Why does that happen? Are they really separate enough for a researcher to not focus on both? I find it interesting how a lot of fields in anthropology are divided like this.

"On a purely practical level the cultural anthropologist has to serve a linguistic apprenticeship." It is interesting how most subjects of knowledge lead to linguistics. Is it possible to learn big and complicated subjects like Anthropology without any knowledge of linguistics? I do not think so, without the knowledge of language, studying a society or civilization  would be very difficult. As a matter of fact I think studying anything, whether that be language, science, or math, language is important for its structure.

I would also consider Anthropology itself to be a baseline structure for many more complicated subjects. A lot of those subjects such as political science depend on studies of anthropology to really formulate any ideas. You could even consider anthropology a structure for history, but I think of these two subjects more as twins. Especially since history roots itself in every subject with no exception, similar to anthropology. It is impossible to not associate Anthropology in anything since it is so rooted in society.
