Language seems to be a very fluid word/topic. In the English language, there are different versions of English. For example, in Court, lawyers and the judges use a form of English that's different from casual everyday English, and people use a different type of  English to text. Even though these are all a part of the English language, they are all fairly different. In writing it becomes very different as well. Even in this writing assignment, my language is casual, however the words I use to write this are different from what I would say if I was talking about it. This is the same for who you are talking to and the amount of respect you give them. You talk very differently to your friends than you would a teacher or person of authority. This even works for age; you talk to a toddler very differently than you would an adult or even a teenager. I think this shows there is much more to languages than what is just on the surface.
